  1. A wonderful collection. We looked for tadpoles in this area today ...

  2. Dear Sir:
your picture called "Bryum dichotomum" can not be OK.
The picture shows more than one bulbil per axil.
"Bryum dichotomum" has only one per axil.

The picture is more likely "B.gemmiparum" or "B.gemmiferum".

    Sincerely,
    Dr Rams

  3. I think that this moss should be Bryum dichotomum, it's a specie highly variable that can have more than two (as shown on the Smith 2004) B. gemmiferum has many, over 15 and very small, and B. gemmiparum has one very large with small leaves developed.

    Regards,
    Felipe

  4. Thanks Dr Rams, but I think Felipe is correct and this is just a form of dichotomum. Plants with a single bulbil in each axil formerly named 'dunense' are no longer recognised as a valid taxon, but just part of the variation within dichotomum.
    Best wishes
    Barry
